Can't access SD Card

I have an SD Card Slot on my computer.
It originally came with Windows 7 and worked up until recently.
I don't know why but now it won't read it or let me access it.
It plays the music when I put the card in or take it out but again, it doesn't recognize
it's there at all.
I checked to see that the driver was still there and it was.
I checked for updates and was unable to find any.
Is there any other way for me to access it?

1.    Were there any changes or updates made on the computer?
2.    Do you get any error message? If yes, what is the complete and exact error message?
3.    Does the issue occur for a particular SD (Secure Digital ) card or others too?
4.    What is the make and model number of the computer?

Method 1:
I would suggest you to check with different SD cards and check if the computer is able to detect it.
I would also suggest you to check if the SD card is detected in Disk management.

Right click on Computer and select Manage devices to open Computer management.

Method 2:
I would suggest you to refer the article and try to run the troubleshooter and check if the issue persists.

Method 3:
I would also suggest you to uninstall the SD card drivers and try to install once again.
To uninstall drivers from the device manager follow these steps:
a.     Click on Start.
b.    Type “Device Manager” in the search bar.
c.     Click on Device Manager.
d.    Select the device you wish to uninstall in the Device Manager window and uninstall it.
e.    You can also uninstall by right clicking on the device and selecting
Uninstall from the context menu.
A dialog box will open asking you if you really wish to uninstall the driver.
Click on
Yes, and then OK in the next window.

Install the drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

Run CHKDSK

Go to the Start button.
In the Search box, type "cmd" (without quotes) and press Enter.
At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r /f" (without quotes) and press Enter.
Restart your computer.
