Cannot change the Screen Saver in Windows 7 Starter edition
Original title: Screensaver Settings Do Not Stick After Changing Them
I recently bought the HP Mini 210 with Windows 7 Starter and set up everything only 2 days ago.
I changed my screensaver from None to Bubbles.
I then realized that the screensaver kept activating after only 1 minute so I went back to settings to change it to 10 minutes.
Even after clicking "Apply", the setting did not seem to save.
I reopened the screensaver options window and it had reverted back
to 1 minute.
Today, I figured maybe it was only the Bubbles screensaver option that was messed up, so I tried to switch it back to None.
After several tries, the settings are still set to Bubbles for 1 minute.
Someone please help?? I have no idea why the settings don't seem to save even though I always press "Apply" before clicking OK to exit.
No idea why this is so annoying.

It might be that your user account has gone corrupt.
I would suggest you tocheck in a new user account whether the issue persists.
