Can't use Readyboost. Can see the option but when I click on it nothing happens.

I recently upgraded from vista to windows 7 Home Premium.
At this point readyboost and other features worked, but my computer began to slow down.
I reinstalled my os with the disk I received to upgrade to windows 7 but readyboost no longer works.
When
I insert an external  harddrive or flash drive it asks me if I want to use readyboost, but if I click on it I can't see the option to use it.
I use an ACER ASPIRE M3202.
A second disk was included with my windows 7 upgrade disk containing various utilities
for acer, but ASPIRE M3202 wasn't included in the list of Acer products to choose from.
I saw an M3201 and M3203 but no M302.
My computer otherwise works, and I've confirmed this version of Windows 7 online.

Download SmartPCFixer to Fix It (Free)

Try downloading/updating from Acer support website(easy to use).
Another option is close the options that first comes up when inserting external device,then access device through my computer,right click device-click properties-click readyboost and click use this device.
It helps if device is formated to NTFS and default size.

1. Access the files on your computer via MY COMPUTER
2. Under the C: drive, access the WINDOWS folder
3. Select the SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION folder, followed by the DOWNLOAD folder.
4. Delete any files within this download folder.
5. If you are unable to delete these files, open the command prompt (CMD) as the administrator, and type "net stop wuauserv" into the CMD prompt window. Press ENTER. This should allow you to delete the files from step 4.
6. Once the files are deleted, open and run the CMD as the administrator and type "wuauclt.exe /updatenow". Press ENTER.
