Anybody knows if XP OS has a bandwitht limit of 10Mb even though the card may be 10/100 ?

I'm told that with Internet providers increasing their Internet speeds, people with XP OS is not getting the full advantage of it because there is a limit in the Bandwitht the OS can handle of up to 10MB.
Any takers ?

As Ken states, that's simply not true.
I have a Gigabit Ethernet card in my Windows XP machine and I have been able to get transfer rates of about 24 MBytes/sec (not just "bits"/sec) with no problems at all.

Boot in Safe Mode:

• Open Run command as previously described
• Type MSConfig
• Click on Boot tab
• Tick Safe boot in Boot option
• Select Network
• Click Apply and OK
• Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
