How to Resolve - Autofill, cell references?

Autofill, cell references

Hey, I usually drag the formula in the first cell and excel changes the cell numbers/references itself.
But now I am trying to multiply a whole series with a particular cell.ie B1 – B10 with only A1 but auto fill changes the references automatically -
B1 with A1, B2 with A2 & so forth..
How do I do this??

And also please do tell what’s the command to run excel from run?

Use $ signs to freeze either the column or row or both.
For example, if you were dragging your formula and you wanted each formula to always reference cell A1 in each new formula, you would use $A$1 and no matter which way you dragged, that reference would
not change.
You do not have to put $ signs on both elements of the address...
it depends on what part you need frozen and which direction you plan to drag the formula.
This is called absolute referencing as opposed to what you do now which is called relative
referencing...
you might want to look these terms up in the help files (or google for them) in order to learn more about them.

And also please do tell what’s the command to run excel from run?
I am not sure what you are referring to here...
can you provide more description please.
