If you are including a file name in the footer (or header) Is there a way to have the file name automatically updated if the file is moved to a different location?

To force an update you'll have to make use of a macro.

A convenient way, which obviously isn't automatic, involves switching to Print Preview (the Backstage view in Word 2010) and back to your previous view.
