Before Change macro to prevent duplicates works for one table, same macro won't work for another (web database)

Hello,
I have created a before change data macro for a table in my web database that checks if a certain field has been updated, and if it has, it checks to see if there are any duplicates before it makes the change, and if there is a duplicate, it raises an error.
This is the macro:

This macro works perfectly.

Now, I would like another table to do the exact same thing and I put in the exact same macro, but changed out the variables:

but this table gives me the following error when it is updated:

Does anyone have any idea why these identical macros don't both work? Or does anyone have another way of doing this?
