Well my lumia 620 is two weeks old...and i wanted to know if there were any apps in specific which would drain my battery...whats app obviously does...but its a necessary app...what about Book My Show app,The Football App,Zomato app(ones installed on my
phone)...?...Is there any app which could recognise the battery-drainers on my phone and let me know about it or how much battery charge each app consumes?...Battery Consumption is my only matter of concern.

I have the same issue as well PMD1492. What I have done is to go to Settings, Applications then clicked on background tasks.

I blocked all tasks running in the background and it has made a huge difference.
In my case, there was one app that really seemed to draw battery power but I figured I would turn them all off and it seems to work fine for me.

When I open up a new tab, the background of the page under the tabs is black with thin white vertical lines.
On other pages, parts of the header will be black.
As I mouse over text on other pages, sometimes the background will turn black.
Occasionally
much of a page will be black with thin horizontal white lines.

None of these issues appear in Firefox 3.5.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Access the files on your computer via MY COMPUTER
Under the C: drive, access the WINDOWS folder
Select the SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION folder, followed by the DOWNLOAD folder.
Delete any files within this download folder.

So yesterday, I bought a new flash drive, 8GB Sandisk Cruiser, and I decided to try BitLocker on it.
I had set the password, saved the recovery key, and had everything done properly (to my knowledge).
Earlier today, I tried to access the drive on an XP-based
machine, and it said it required formatting, but "I didn't have enough privileges" to format it.
A couple minutes ago, I plugged the drive back into the machine I locked it on, and I entered the password.
The following error came up.

The system could not find the file specified.

I tried the "I forgot my password" screens, but it said the recovery key I had entered was incorrect...
although I had copied/pasted it directly out of the .txt file.

Any help?

I'm trying to set up an invoice in excel 2007 I would like the invoice numbers (i.e.
001/12/12AM) to automatically change after each save.
Is this possible? It would make it easier to use rather than having to enter each progressive number manually.

TI want it to automatically change for each new invoice.

The format of invoice is find below

Date
17/12/12

Invoice no.
001/12/LAA

Payment Terms:
50% Advance & balance before dispatch

Please can you explain how you want your invoice numbers to increment? It's not clear to me from your post.

001/12/LAA -->> ???/??/??? -->> ???/??/??? -->> ???/??/???....

I think your best bet is to save your file as a .xltm (macro enabled template file).

You could add code like this to the ThisWorkbook module so that a cell of your choice (A1 in this example) is updated with the new number (in this case dd/mm/LAA, where dd is the date and mm is the month):

Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A1").Value = Format(Now(), "dd/mm") & "/LAA"
End Sub

Each time you double-click on the template file a new .xlsx file will be created. When you save it as .xlsx, the macro will be removed and so the cell wouldn't be updated if you were to open the file in the future.

I use Carbonite back up during at midnight. However, with inactivity in the evening my PC sleeps and loses it internet connection. How do I overcome this problem? Can I retain internet connection during sleep?

System Update Readiness Command: To Fix Back up during sleep mode

On running the System Update readiness Command, it will Detect & Replace Incorrect Registry data with the Correct one. Which may ultimately Solve Back up during sleep mode in Windows.

Open CMD as Administrator by Simply Right Clicking on Start button > Command Prompt (Admin).
Now Type or Copy paste "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth" and hit Enter,
Now again Type or Copy paste this "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" and hit Enter.
Close the Command Prompt Window because we are done.

Reboot your Windows & see if error Back up during sleep mode is still there.

Note: Your administrator's password might be needed.

Apps/software not performing well

many apps like firefox ,bluestacks don't close & take too much time to start,
whenever I try to close them by ending their process they don't
I got another problem with a app bluestacks sometimes it starts within seconds ,sometimes it takes too much time

Using Windows troubleshooter:

Click on Search on Charm bar and type Troubleshooting. Click on the very first option.
A new window will open. Click View all from the left pane.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on Windows update.

Backup issues with windows 7

The action center keeps telling me to backup comp. I install blank dvd and proceed with backup. It takes a very long time(overnite to go from25% to 31%). What I think is happening is the dvd is filling up and there is no contingency to close of that
dvd and install another. It will not go past 31% complete no matter how long I give it. I eventuall have to stop backup and when I try to eject it I am unable.

What are you trying to back up (the full system image or a few files and folder)?
Time taken to backup would depend on the number of files and the size of the files.

If you have any security software installed on the computer it would take longer for the backup center to backup files.
Try to disable security software and try to take a backup and verify.

If that works fine later enable the security software.

Also try to run a Check disk for the hard drive and check if that helps
To run Check disk
1.       Open Computer by clicking the
Start button, and then clicking Computer.

2.       Right-click the hard disk drive that you want to check, and then click

Check Now. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select
Automatically fix file system errors.
Otherwise, the disk check will simply report problems but not fix them.
To perform a thorough disk check, select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
This scan attempts to find and repair physical errors on the hard disk itself, and it can take much longer to complete.
To check for both file errors and physical errors, select both
Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
4.       Click
Start.
Depending upon the size of your hard disk, this may take several minutes.
For best results, don't use your computer for any other tasks while it's checking for errors.
