Aero peek was working fine on all my Office 2007 products, and every other product / programme. Suddenly about 3 days ago the aero peek stopped working only for Office Excel 2007.
There is no content in the preview (just all grey, blanked out) when you
open up more than one Excel window at the same time.
When you close one,or all there is still no preview, even when you close all windows and are left with a single one.
The only time the aero peek works normal in Excel is when you open up Excel for the first
time and only with that window.
Aftere that when you open up an additional window you encounter the above described problem.
I have tried everything, going through all steps on the windows help menu, and the windows forums but nothing has helped.

Yes, it seems that this issue is fixed in Office 2010.

Apparently, for Excel 2007, you need to start a new instance of Excel 2007 when using Win 7 Aero, if you want to see the actual spreadsheet shown in the little Aero Peek windows.
If you startup multiple sheets from within the same instance of Excel 2007, all thet you will see is the 'favicon' when using Aero.
This is, as Milic mentioned, fixed in Office 2010.

On running the System Update readiness Command, it will Detect & Replace Incorrect Registry data with the Correct one. Open CMD as Administrator by Simply Right Clicking on Start button > Command Prompt (Admin).
Now Type or Copy paste "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth" and hit Enter,
Now again Type or Copy paste this "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" and hit Enter.
Close the Command Prompt Window because we are done.

I recently tried to install Adobe Reader X on my Windows 7 Premium PC.
The installation gets to 96% before it sends a message and reverses the installation.
After reversing the installation, a window appears on my internet that says that the program
was successfully installed.
The installation gets far enough that a desktop icon is created which allows me to open the Reader program before the uninstallation begins, but not actually open any PDF documents.
The message error is as follows:

Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component B708EB72-AA82-3EB7-8BB0-D845BA35C93D.HRESULT: 0x80071A91

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program as well as downloading and installing a previos version (which only got to ~53% complete on the installation).
I have also tried to use the windows uninstall to remove any lingering files of Adobe
before reinstalling, but there were none left.
Finally, I tried reinstalling the program after a restart, and even restarting to recheck if the program had been installed but not updated on my computer yet.
No such luck.

Is there any fix to this problem? A side note that might be important, I have a version of windows 7 I received from the MSDN Academic Alliance program last week.
I had previously installed Windows XP (which allowed Adobe REader X to be installed) and
did a complete, clean install for Windows 7.
I am not sure if Academic Alliance version is different, or will affect the installation or not, but it was a thought.

I have one C# program which is used to change the TCP/IP settings in Windows. The program is built in Visual C#2010 Express Edition. It functions properly in Windows XP environment, that is, the program can change the IP address, Gateway IP and subnet
mask.
The program cannot achieve the same function in Windows 7. Actually, I have re-compiled it in Windows 7 using the same Visual C#2101 Express Edition. The newly built executive file does not return any error code as the last message "Update IP address"
is observed. However, the IP settings do not change. Is there any extra work required in Windows 7 environment? I list the whole program as below for your reference.

Windows Restore

Click on the Start button on the Taskbar.
Type "System Restore" (without quotes) in the Search box and hit Enter or,
Click on System Restore (when you see System Restore pop up in the list of search results).
Make sure the "Recommended restore" radio button is checked on the restore utility window.
Click on Next and follow the instructions given.

Note: There is the option on the restore utility to select "Choose a different restore point". Unless you have a specific reason to select a different date and time than what Windows recommends, just select the recommended option stated in the steps above. If you choose to select another one, follow these steps:

Click on that desired date and time, and Windows 7 will perform a scan for any affected programs in that restore point.

Once completed, click Next and follow the instructions given.

Once you have selected the restore point, your system will start the restoring process, after which you will have to restart the system.

how comes delete browsing history does NOT even work properly? because I logged into my hotmail account but, then did NOT log out, instead, I just did delete browsing history, but then when I went back to the hotmail page, my hotmail account was open
& able to be viewed by everyone???

Manually editing the Windows registry

Manually editing the Windows registry to remove invalid MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION keys is not recommended unless you are PC service professional. Incorrectly editing your registry can stop your PC from functioning and create irreversible damage to your operating system. In fact, one misplaced comma can prevent your PC from booting entirely!

Caution: Unless you an advanced PC user, we DO NOT recommend editing the Windows registry manually. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall Windows. We do not guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

To manually repair your Windows registry, first you need to create a backup by exporting a portion of the registry related to MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION (eg. Windows Operating System):

Click the Start button.
Type "command" in the search box... DO NOT hit ENTER yet!
While holding CTRL-Shift on your keyboard, hit ENTER.
You will be prompted with a permission dialog box.

I suspect what you did was to fill using a double-click.
Assume your formula is in a cell in a column right next to a long list of continuous data. You select the cell with the formula in it and move your mouse pointer to the lower right corner of that cell until it it is over the small square box and changes
from a fat cross to a small + sign. Then you double-click and voila! the formula is automatically filled down that column for as many cells as have entries in them in the column next to it.
By the way: that little square is called the "fill handle".
More info: you can also just click on the fill handle and drag with it in any direction to 'fill' based on that cell. You can drag up/down/left/right - just not diagonally. Also, you can select several cells on a row or in a column and then the fill handle
will be at the lower right corner of the cell that makes up the lower right "corner" of the group and then fill by click-and-hold-and-drag to fill that entire group horizontally or vertically.

Using Windows troubleshooter:

Click on Search on Charm bar and type Troubleshooting. Click on the very first option.
A new window will open. Click View all from the left pane.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on Windows update.
Troubleshooter window for Windows update will pop up. Click on NEXT. It may ask you for administrative permission.
The troubleshooter will automatically detect problems and fix it.
Now, close this window and try download/install the app which was previously showing error.
